Through the Eyes of Insectsthe forgotten frontier.
When we save insects, we save ourselves. We may know this in theory but I believe we will only act to protect them once we find our respect for them.
We share Earth with a library of forgotten wonders, and we may walk the same planet but our Worlds are alien to each other. Here, in their World, we can discover a new relationship with insects; witness them in a way never seen before, listen to their stories, all using a special technique that illustrates this and incites questions.
You are invited to experience the World Through the Eyes of Insects. This is the forgotten frontier.
Through the Eyes of Insects uses ultraviolet induced visible fluorescence photography (UVIVF) to display insects, arachnids, and their habitat in a new light. It utilises naturally occurring ultraviolet fluorescence, called biofluorescence, within these species to tell the story of the intricacies of insects’ vision; their World is entirely different from our own due to their ability to see into the ultraviolet light spectrum.
